The Quran is a Holy Book of the Muslims. It is addressed to the entire humanity transcending all barriers and limitations of race, religion or time. It seeks to guide man in all walks of life, spiritual, temporal, individual and collective. It seeks primarily to develop the personality of the individuals and then shape them into an ideal society. The Holy Quran adopts various ways and methods for enabling man to understand the truth. It teaches man the Attributes of Allah. It points out that the duties of man are with regard to Allah, to his follow beings and to his own self. The Holy Quran is a comprehensive code of life, covering every aspect and phase of human life. As a Divine Book it gives a masterly exposition of the fundamental truths of religion and a complete scheme of life.
Solution Book
The Holy Quran offers solution of the most confusing problems of man's life on this earth. It covers the relationship of the individual with the world hereafter. Allah Almighty says,
"Allah will exalt those who believe among you, and those who have knowledge, to high ranks."
Importance of Knowledge in the light of Hadith
The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) pointed out the importance of knowledge very clearly.
Once the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) went into a mosque where two assemblies were in progress. In one there was Zikar and in other there was talk of knowledge. The Holy Prophet praised both and then sat in the assembly of knowledge.
- The search for knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim (for all believers).
- Scholars are the heirs to Prophet.
- If Allah wants betterment of any body, He gives him the understanding of religion.
- Whosoever adopts the path of getting knowledge, Allah opens the paths of heavens for him.
- Any person who goes out in search of knowledge, till his return to his house, he remains in Jihad.
- Get Knowledge from cradle to grave.
- After the death of men his generous act" continues then his knowledge which benefited the people and thirdly his noble children who pray for him.
- The superiority of a scholar over a worshipper is like the superiority of the moon over other stars.
- After me anyone will be very generous who learns knowledge and spreads it.
- The search for knowledge is an obligation laid on every Muslim but who commits to those who are unworthy of it like one who puts necklace of jewels, pearls and gold before swine.
- To seek knowledge is the duty of every Muslim man and woman.
- The ink of the scholar is purer than the blood of the martyr.
- The angels offer their wings to the seeker of knowledge.
- The angels bow low to the seeker of knowledge.
