Mobile Phone (Uses and Misuses)

The cellular phone, commonly known as the mobile phone is one of the amazing inventions of science. The mobile phone can be used to communicate over long distances without wires. In earlier times mobile phones were used only for communication but nowadays it is used for various purposes. The technology of the mobile phone arrived in Pakistan in 1938. In the beginning, it becomes a symbol of wealth and riches. But with time, technology becomes available to the common man.

There are many uses of the mobile phone, but the first and the most important feature is its probability. One can be accessed and can access anywhere any time. It has made communication easy and economical. One feeds in contact with the whole world around the clock. In case of any emergency, any journey, it is very helpful. It has also provided us with additional facilities like cameras, time, games and a dictionary, etc. now use of the internet and email are also available on mobile phones.

While mobile phones are very beneficial, they also come with a lot of disadvantages. Firstly, they create a distance between people. As people spend their time on their phones, they don’t talk to each other much. People will sit in the same room and be busy on their phones instead of talking to each other. Phones waste a lot of time. They make people dumb.

For the last some years, mobile phones were used in dacoit, robbery, kidnapping, and many other acts of terrorism. In our country, people do not adopt mobile manners. They do not switch off the rings or tones of mobile phones in mosques, hospitals, and other silent zones.

Inventions are indeed neither good nor bad for man. It is their use that makes them good or bad. We should use all things positively for our benefit and society as well.
