Informational Technology or IT

Information Technology is a developing technology that aims at obtaining the maximum information with a minimum of resources, labor, or time.  According to the dictionary, Information Technology is “the study or use of electronic equipment especially computers, for storing, analyzing and distribution of information of all kinds, including words, numbers, and pictures.”  

It has many advantages. First of all, IT has made tasks easier. It saves our time and gives us a chance to perform tasks in a better way. It has greatly helped in promoting knowledge. It has become a key to development and success. The role of IT in communication is beyond imagination. Internet, email, cellular phones, etc are the most useful thing which is benefiting man.

Informational technology has a very bright future in Pakistan. It is playing a vital role in the development of the country. Many IT professionals are also working abroad and playing their part in earning foreign exchange for the country.

Along with many advantages, IT has also given rise to many crimes, the young generation took so captivated by the internet, etc, that they have forgotten, the real goal.

 Cyber crimes were unknown before the arrival of IT. The moral values have been ruined and youngsters today seem unaware of social and moral ethics. There is a strong need to improve the system and block immoral websites so that our youth should never be involved in immoral activities.

 We are soon going to witness an age where every head will be high, where every heart will be happy, where every hand will be busy. A thing itself is neither good nor bad. Its use makes it so, that we should also use IT for the benefit and not for vulgar entertainment.
